The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 9 (PCSK9) is a serine protease that plays a crucial role in cholesterol homeostasis by regulating low-density lipoprotein (LDL) receptor levels in the liver. Elevated levels of circulating LDL cholesterol (LDL-C) are a significant risk factor for cardiovascular diseases, making PCSK9 an attractive target for therapeutic intervention. The discovery of gain-of-function mutations in the PCSK9 gene, which are associated with familial hypercholesterolemia, highlighted its importance in lipid metabolism and cardiovascular health. Conversely, loss-of-function mutations in PCSK9 result in markedly lower LDL-C levels and a substantially reduced risk of coronary artery disease, further emphasizing its potential as a drug target. In recent years, the development of PCSK9 monoclonal antibodies has demonstrated substantial efficacy in lowering LDL-C levels and reducing cardiovascular events in clinical trials, leading to their approval as a new class of cholesterol-lowering agents.
