Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
SLCO2B1, a member of the solute carrier organic anion transporter (SLCO) family, is a crucial transporter protein primarily involved in the uptake of steroid hormones and various drugs, significantly influencing their pharmacokinetics and therapeutic efficacy. Research on SLCO2B1 has gained traction due to its role in the absorption and transport of conjugated steroid hormones, such as estrone sulfate and dehydroepiandrosterone sulfate, which are important for various physiological processes. Moreover, genetic polymorphisms in the SLCO2B1 gene have been shown to affect the transporter's activity, leading to interindividual variability in drug response and susceptibility to various diseases. Understanding the structure and function of SLCO2B1 is essential for drug development and personalized medicine, particularly in optimizing therapeutic regimens for conditions like cancer, cardiovascular diseases, and hormonal disorders. The recombinant expression of SLCO2B1 provides a valuable tool for studying its functional properties and interactions with various substrates, helping elucidate its role in physiology and pathology, thus paving the way for novel therapeutic strategies. Current studies aim to investigate the transport mechanism of SLCO2B1, its regulation, and its implications in drug-drug interactions, ultimately contributing to a better understanding of how genetic variations can influence treatment outcomes.
