Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
SCAP1 (SREBP Cleavage-Activating Protein 1) is a crucial protein involved in the regulation of lipid metabolism and cholesterol homeostasis. It facilitates the activation of Sterol Regulatory Element-Binding Proteins (SREBPs), which are key transcription factors that regulate the expression of genes involved in lipid synthesis and uptake. Research on SCAP1 has gained attention due to its potential role in metabolic disorders, including obesity, type 2 diabetes, and cardiovascular diseases. Understanding SCAP1's structure and function can provide insights into its mechanistic role in lipid metabolism, and how it contributes to the pathogenesis of these diseases. Recent studies have focused on SCAP1’s interactions with other cellular proteins and its regulatory mechanisms under different physiological conditions, aiming to identify potential therapeutic targets for metabolic diseases. Moreover, the recombinant production of SCAP1 has enabled researchers to study its biochemical properties and interaction dynamics in vitro, paving the way for the development of drugs that can modulate its activity. Overall, the investigation of SCAP1 serves as a vital avenue for uncovering the complexities of lipid regulation and its implications for human health.
