Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
The iscS recombinant protein is of significant interest in the field of biochemistry and molecular biology due to its crucial role in iron-sulfur (Fe-S) cluster biogenesis. Iron-sulfur clusters are vital cofactors found in a wide variety of proteins, facilitating essential biochemical processes, including electron transport and enzymatic reactions. The iscS gene is part of the isc operon, which is responsible for the synthesis of Fe-S clusters in many prokaryotic organisms. Studies have shown that iscS encodes a cysteine desulfurase enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of cysteine to alanine, releasing sulfide, which is a key component in the assembly of Fe-S clusters. Deficiencies or mutations in the iscS gene can lead to impaired cluster formation, resulting in various physiological defects and contributing to diseases in higher organisms. Research on iscS recombinant protein not only helps in understanding the mechanistic pathways of Fe-S cluster assembly but also holds potential applications in biotechnology and medicine, including the development of novel therapeutics targeting iron-related disorders. Furthermore, recombinant iscS proteins can be utilized in structural studies to elucidate the complex interactions that govern Fe-S cluster biogenesis, paving the way for advancements in both basic and applied sciences.
