Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
ALK1 (activin receptor-like kinase 1) is a type I receptor of the TGF-β superfamily, primarily involved in regulating vascular biology, including angiogenesis and vascular homeostasis. Its importance has been underscored by its association with hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia (HHT), a genetic disorder characterized by abnormal blood vessel formation. Mutations in the ALK1 gene lead to impaired endothelial cell function, resulting in increased susceptibility to arteriovenous malformations. Therefore, understanding ALK1's role and signaling pathways is essential for uncovering therapeutic targets for HHT and other vascular diseases. Recent studies have focused on the recombinant expression and characterization of ALK1 protein to facilitate investigations into its molecular mechanisms and interactions with other signaling pathways. Recombinant ALK1 protein is crucial for functional assays, allowing researchers to explore its effects in cellular models and identify potential inhibitors or agonists that could modulate its activity. By elucidating the precise functions of ALK1 in vascular biology, researchers aim to provide insights that could lead to innovative therapies targeting vascular malformations and enhance the understanding of similar conditions. Overall, the study of ALK1 recombinant protein holds significant potential for advancing knowledge in vascular biology and developing novel strategies for treating related disorders.
