Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PTK6 (Protein Tyrosine Kinase 6), also known as scabl or BRK (breast tumor kinase), is a non-receptor tyrosine kinase that plays a crucial role in various cellular processes, including cell proliferation, survival, and differentiation. It is predominantly expressed in epithelial tissues and has been implicated in breast cancer and other malignancies, making it a significant focus of cancer research. PTK6 is activated in response to various extracellular signals and is known to modulate signaling pathways, including those involving integrins and receptor tyrosine kinases. Its dysregulation has been linked to tumorigenesis and metastasis, underscoring the importance of elucidating its functional mechanisms. Recombinant PTK6 protein is vital for studying its biochemical properties, interactions with substrates, and regulatory mechanisms. Producing PTK6 in a recombinant form allows for a detailed analysis of its kinase activity and potential therapeutic targets, contributing to our understanding of its role in cancer and offering insights for the development of targeted therapies. The exploration of PTK6 functions through recombinant protein research not only enhances our comprehension of its involvement in cancer biology but also facilitates the identification of novel drug candidates that could inhibit its activity in cancerous cells.
