  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

SCARA5 (Scavenger Receptor Class A Member 5) is a member of the scavenger receptor family, which plays a crucial role in various physiological processes, including lipid metabolism, immune response, and cellular signaling. The protein is primarily expressed in the liver and macrophages, where it is involved in the uptake of modified lipoproteins and has been linked to atherosclerosis and other cardiovascular diseases. Research has indicated that SCARA5 may have significant functions in mediating inflammation and modulating immune responses, making it an attractive target for therapeutic interventions. Additionally, its role in the binding and clearance of advanced glycation end-products (AGEs) suggests a potential involvement in diabetes-related complications. The study of recombinant SCARA5 protein allows for a deeper understanding of its structure-function relationship and the biochemical pathways it influences. Moreover, producing SCARA5 as a recombinant protein facilitates investigations into its ligand-binding characteristics, interactions with other cellular components, and potential as a biomarker for disease states. Given its implication in both metabolic disorders and immune regulation, the exploration of SCARA5 recombinant protein may lead to new insights into therapeutic strategies for various diseases, including atherosclerosis and diabetic complications. As such, ongoing research into SCARA5 is essential for elucidating its biological significance and potential applications in medicine.
