Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
APOL2 (Apolipoprotein L2) is a member of the apolipoprotein family, playing a crucial role in lipid metabolism and cardiovascular health. It has gained attention due to its involvement in various physiological and pathological processes, including its potential protective effects against cellular stress and inflammation. Research indicates that APOL2 may act as a modulator of cholesterol homeostasis, contributing to the understanding of diseases such as atherosclerosis and metabolic syndrome. Additionally, APOL2 has been implicated in host defense mechanisms against infections, particularly in relation to trypanosomiasis caused by Trypanosoma brucei, where it exhibits the ability to lyse parasites. The recombinant expression and purification of APOL2 protein are essential for elucidating its structure-function relationships and exploring its therapeutic potential. Studies employing recombinant APOL2 can provide insights into its interactions with cellular pathways, its role in disease models, and its prospective applications in drug development. As researchers continue to investigate the multifaceted roles of APOL2, understanding its mechanism can pave the way for novel therapeutic strategies targeting lipid-related disorders and infectious diseases.
