Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PCDHGA6, a member of the protocadherin gene family, is an important cell-surface protein involved in various biological processes, including cell adhesion, signaling, and neural development. Its unique structure, characterized by multiple extracellular cadherin-like domains, suggests a potential role in mediating specific cell-cell interactions, particularly in the nervous system. Recent studies have indicated that PCDHGA6 may play a role in neuronal plasticity, a key process for learning and memory, as well as in the modulation of synaptic connections. Given its potential implications in neurodevelopmental disorders and neurodegenerative diseases, research into PCDHGA6 recombinant protein has gained traction. Scientists aim to produce and characterize PCDHGA6 to investigate its functional properties, signaling pathways, and interactions with other proteins. This work is essential for understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying its functions and the role it plays in health and disease. Moreover, exploring PCDHGA6 in a recombinant format facilitates the development of targeted therapeutic strategies for conditions associated with altered cell adhesion and neuronal connectivity. The ongoing research on PCDHGA6 not only contributes to basic neuroscience but also holds promise for future clinical applications in the context of neurodevelopmental and psychiatric disorders.
