Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
CYP2C9 (Cytochrome P450 2C9) is a key enzyme involved in the metabolism of various therapeutic drugs, including nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), anticoagulants, and anticonvulsants. Its importance lies in its influence on drug efficacy and safety, as genetic polymorphisms in the CYP2C9 gene can lead to significant interindividual variability in drug metabolism. Certain alleles of CYP2C9, such as *2 and *3, confer reduced enzymatic activity, which can result in elevated plasma levels of drugs, increasing the risk of adverse effects and therapeutic failures. Understanding the structural and functional characteristics of CYP2C9 is crucial for predicting drug interactions and personalizing medicine. The study of recombinant CYP2C9 proteins allows researchers to investigate the enzyme’s kinetics, substrate specificity, and interaction with various inhibitors or inducers, thus providing insights into its role in drug metabolism. By utilizing recombinant DNA technology, scientists can produce large quantities of CYP2C9 for biochemical studies, facilitating the exploration of its function in both normal and pathological states. This research not only enhances our understanding of CYP2C9's metabolic pathways but also aids in the development of therapeutic strategies that optimize drug dosing and minimize adverse effects in diverse patient populations.
