Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
IRS2 (Insulin Receptor Substrate 2) is a key adaptor protein involved in the insulin signaling pathway, playing a critical role in metabolic regulation, glucose homeostasis, and cellular growth. With the rising prevalence of insulin resistance and type 2 diabetes, understanding IRS2 function and regulation has garnered significant attention in the field of molecular biology and endocrinology. Research has indicated that IRS2 is essential for the action of insulin in various tissues, including the liver, muscle, and adipose tissue, and its expression is often altered in metabolic disorders. IRS2 not only aids in amplifying the insulin signal but also interacts with other signaling molecules to influence various cellular processes, including cell proliferation and survival. Recent advancements in recombinant protein technology have enabled the production of purified IRS2 for detailed biochemical and biophysical studies. Such research is invaluable for elucidating the molecular mechanisms underlying insulin signaling and the pathological changes associated with metabolic diseases. By studying IRS2, scientists aim to uncover potential therapeutic targets for the treatment of insulin resistance and associated disorders, thereby contributing to the development of innovative strategies to combat the growing epidemics of metabolic diseases worldwide.
