Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
The AK5 protein, or adenylate kinase 5, plays a crucial role in cellular energy homeostasis and nucleotide metabolism. This enzyme is part of the adenylate kinase family, which is involved in the reversible transfer of phosphate groups between adenine nucleotides, thereby maintaining intracellular ATP levels. Research on AK5 has gained momentum due to its potential implications in various physiological processes and pathologies, including neurodegenerative diseases, cancers, and metabolic disorders. Abnormal expression or mutations in AK5 can disrupt energy balance within cells, leading to impaired cellular functions and disease progression. Studies have revealed that AK5 is particularly abundant in neurological tissues, suggesting its significant involvement in brain energy metabolism and signaling pathways. Consequently, understanding the structure, function, and regulatory mechanisms of AK5 can provide vital insights into its role in both normal physiology and disease states. Ongoing investigations aim to elucidate the molecular mechanisms by which AK5 exerts its effects, explore its interactions with other cellular components, and evaluate its potential as a therapeutic target. As research progresses, AK5 may pave the way for novel interventions in conditions associated with energy dysregulation.
