Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
FAM20A, a member of the FAM20 family, plays a critical role in the regulation of biomineralization, specifically in the formation of enamel and bone. This protein is recognized as a Golgi kinase, which phosphorylates serine residues in proteins that are vital for the mineralization process. Mutations in the FAM20A gene have been linked to amelogenesis imperfecta, a genetic disorder characterized by abnormal enamel formation leading to dental issues. Recent studies have highlighted the importance of FAM20A not only in dental health but also in broader physiological processes like bone metabolism and extracellular matrix regulation. The investigation into FAM20A recombinant protein has opened avenues for understanding its structure-function relationship and developing potential therapeutic strategies. Researchers have aimed to express and purify FAM20A in various systems to study its enzymatic activity, interaction with substrate proteins, and potential as a biomarker for mineralization disorders. Understanding the biochemical pathways mediated by FAM20A could provide insights into novel treatment approaches for patients with mineralization-related diseases. Additionally, the exploration of FAM20A's role in different tissues may uncover its multifaceted functions beyond the traditional scope of enamel and bone biology. Such studies are crucial for developing targeted therapies that could rectify mineralization defects at the molecular level, ultimately improving patient care in dental and orthopedic fields.
