  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

PDCD6IP, also known as Programmed Cell Death 6 Interacting Protein or Alix, plays a crucial role in various cellular processes, including apoptosis, endosomal trafficking, and the regulation of cell signaling pathways. Its involvement in the biogenesis of exosomes has garnered significant attention, as exosomes are vital for intercellular communication and have implications in cancer, neurodegenerative diseases, and viral infections. Researchers have found that PDCD6IP interacts with various proteins, including ESCRT (Endosomal Sorting Complex Required for Transport) machinery components, highlighting its importance in membrane budding and cargo sorting during endosome maturation. The study of PDCD6IP recombinant proteins allows for a detailed examination of its functional properties and interactions in vitro. This has the potential to advance our understanding of its role in health and disease, ultimately aiding in the development of therapeutic strategies targeting exosome-mediated pathways. As research continues, the insights gained from PDCD6IP may pave the way for novel diagnostics and treatments, particularly in cancer and infectious diseases where exosome-mediated communication plays a pivotal role. Thus, exploring PDCD6IP as a recombinant protein is not merely a technical endeavor but a significant step toward elucidating its biological functions and therapeutic potential.
