Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
CDK16, also known as cyclin-dependent kinase 16, is a member of the cyclin-dependent kinase family and plays a crucial role in regulating various cellular processes, including cell cycle progression, transcription, and neuronal signaling. Its activity is tightly regulated by cyclins and other cofactors, which allows it to respond to cellular signals and environmental cues. Recent studies have highlighted the importance of CDK16 in cancer biology, particularly its involvement in the proliferation and survival of cancer cells, suggesting its potential as a therapeutic target. Moreover, CDK16 has been implicated in neurodegenerative diseases, where its dysregulation may contribute to neuronal dysfunction and cell death. The recombinant expression of CDK16 provides a valuable tool for studying its biochemical properties, interaction with other proteins, and role in cellular pathways. Understanding the functional mechanisms of CDK16 through recombinant protein studies can pave the way for the development of targeted therapies that aim to modulate its activity for therapeutic benefit in cancer and neurodegenerative conditions. The generation of CDK16 recombinants not only facilitates the exploration of its structure-function relationship but also aids in screening potential inhibitors that could selectively disrupt its activity in pathological conditions. Hence, research into recombinant CDK16 serves as a foundation for advancing our understanding of its biological significance and therapeutic potential.
