Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
NPAS4 (Neuronal PAS Domain Protein 4) is a key transcription factor involved in neuronal activity regulation, synaptic plasticity, and the formation of neural circuits. It is particularly notable for its role in the brain's response to environmental stimuli and the regulation of genes associated with synaptic function and plasticity. Research indicates that NPAS4 plays a crucial role in the development of post-synaptic inhibitory neurons and is involved in the process of memory formation and mood regulation. Dysregulation of NPAS4 has been implicated in various neuropsychiatric disorders, including depression and schizophrenia, making it a potential therapeutic target. The study of recombinant NPAS4 protein is essential for understanding its functional mechanisms at the molecular level, enabling researchers to explore its interactions with other proteins and DNA. By producing NPAS4 in a recombinant form, scientists can investigate its structural characteristics, post-translational modifications, and the regulatory pathways it influences in neuronal cells. This research has significant implications for developing novel therapeutic strategies aimed at restoring normal NPAS4 function in diseases associated with neural circuit dysfunction. Understanding NPAS4's role further through advanced techniques such as crystallography and electrophysiological assays can provide deeper insights into how this transcription factor orchestrates neuronal responses and influences cognitive processes. Overall, the investigation of recombinant NPAS4 represents a promising avenue in neuroscience, contributing to our knowledge of brain function and the underlying mechanisms of neuropsychiatric disorders.
