Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
CKB, or creatine kinase B, is a crucial enzyme involved in the energy metabolism of cells, particularly in muscle and brain tissues where energy demand is high. It catalyzes the reversible transfer of phosphate groups from phosphocreatine to adenosine diphosphate (ADP), facilitating the regeneration of adenosine triphosphate (ATP) during periods of high energy consumption. Understanding CKB and its recombinant protein form has significant implications in various fields, including neurology, cardiology, and exercise biology. The recombinant technology allows for the production of CKB in large quantities with controlled purity and activity, making it an invaluable tool for both basic and applied research. Scientists are exploring the role of CKB in pathological conditions, such as ischemia and muscular dystrophies, as its activity is often altered in disease states. Additionally, recombinant CKB is being studied for potential therapeutic applications, including its use as a biomarker for muscle-related diseases or as a treatment strategy to enhance cellular energy metabolism. The advancements in recombinant DNA technology have also opened avenues for engineering CKB variants with improved stability or altered enzymatic properties, further broadening its potential utility in the biomedical field. As research on CKB progresses, it continues to offer insights into the fundamental aspects of cellular energy management and its implications in health and disease.
