Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
KIF5B, a member of the kinesin superfamily, plays a crucial role in intracellular transport, particularly in the transportation of organelles and vesicles along microtubules. As a motor protein, KIF5B utilizes ATP hydrolysis to facilitate the movement of cargoes towards the plus end of microtubules, which is typically oriented towards the cell periphery. Research has shown that KIF5B is involved in various cellular processes, including axonal transport in neurons, cell division, and cellular signaling pathways. Dysregulation of KIF5B function has been linked to several diseases, including cancer, where it may contribute to tumor progression and metastasis by affecting the transport of key signaling molecules and organelles. Furthermore, KIF5B has been implicated in neurodegenerative diseases due to its role in neuronal transport mechanisms. As such, recombinant KIF5B protein has become a focal point of study to understand its structure-function relationship, interaction with cargo, and potential as a therapeutic target. Investigating the mechanisms by which KIF5B operates can provide insights into its contribution to cellular homeostasis and the pathological changes observed in various diseases, making it a valuable subject for both basic and applied research.
