Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
CILP (Cartilage Intermediate Layer Protein) is a secreted glycoprotein predominantly found in articular cartilage, where it plays a crucial role in maintaining cartilage structure and function. Recent studies have highlighted its involvement in cartilage metabolism and the progression of osteoarthritis, an age-related degenerative joint disease. CILP has been identified as a potential biomarker for joint disorders, as its expression levels can indicate cartilage health and injury. Recombinant CILP proteins are of particular interest in biomedical research because they enable the study of CILP's functional properties and mechanisms in vitro and in vivo. Researchers are exploring the therapeutic potential of CILP, including its role in cartilage repair and regeneration, which could lead to novel strategies for treating osteoarthritis and other joint-related conditions. Additionally, understanding the molecular interactions of CILP with other cartilage matrix components can provide insights into the complex biochemical environment of cartilage, ultimately contributing to the development of targeted therapies aimed at preserving joint health. The production and characterization of recombinant CILP proteins will facilitate further research into its biological functions and therapeutic applications, potentially advancing our knowledge of cartilage biology and improving clinical outcomes for patients with joint diseases.
