Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Lysyl oxidase like 2 (LOXL2) is a member of the lysyl oxidase family, which plays a crucial role in the extracellular matrix (ECM) remodeling and tissue homeostasis. It is known to catalyze the oxidative deamination of lysine residues, facilitating collagen and elastin cross-linking, which is vital for maintaining the structural integrity of tissues. Recent studies have highlighted the involvement of LOXL2 in various pathological conditions, including fibrosis, cancer metastasis, and cardiovascular diseases, making it a potential therapeutic target. The increased expression of LOXL2 has been associated with poor prognosis in several cancers, suggesting its role in tumor progression and the invasive behavior of cancer cells. Consequently, the development of LOXL2 recombinant proteins has garnered significant interest in the research community. These proteins can be utilized for understanding the precise biochemical mechanisms underlying LOXL2's role in ECM modulation and identifying novel inhibitors that may offer new therapeutic avenues. Moreover, the use of LOXL2 recombinant proteins can aid in the exploration of its interactions with other cellular components, providing insights into its contributions to cellular signaling pathways. By elucidating the molecular functions of LOXL2, researchers aim to establish a foundation for innovative treatments that target aberrant LOXL2 activity in disease contexts, thus advancing the field of translational medicine.
