Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
GPHN, or Gephyrin, is a crucial scaffolding protein that plays a significant role in the postsynaptic clustering of glycine and GABA receptors in the central nervous system. It is essential for maintaining inhibitory neurotransmission, and its dysfunction is implicated in various neurological disorders, including epilepsy, schizophrenia, and developmental delays. Recent studies have focused on the molecular mechanisms by which GPHN interacts with neurotransmitter receptors and other associated proteins, revealing its multifaceted role in synaptic signaling and plasticity. The investigation of GPHN's structure and function is vital, as it provides insights into synaptic organization and the pathophysiology of neuropsychiatric disorders. Researchers have been particularly interested in the potential therapeutic applications of GPHN modulation, aiming to restore the balance of excitatory and inhibitory signaling in the brain. Overall, the study of GPHN and its associated pathways offers promising avenues for understanding and developing treatments for a range of neurological conditions.
