  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

GRM7, or glutamate receptor metabotropic 7, is a member of the metabotropic glutamate receptor family, which plays a crucial role in modulating synaptic transmission and plasticity in the central nervous system. This receptor is particularly interesting due to its involvement in various neurological disorders, including anxiety, depression, and schizophrenia. Research on GRM7 has gained momentum as it is implicated in the modulation of neuronal excitability and neurotransmitter release, making it a potential target for therapeutic interventions. Receptor dysfunction has been linked to altered glutamatergic signaling, which can contribute to the pathophysiology of several psychiatric conditions. The study of GRM7 recombinant proteins serves as a pivotal tool in understanding the structure-function relationships and pharmacological profiles of this receptor. By generating and investigating these recombinant proteins, researchers aim to elucidate the molecular mechanisms underlying GRM7 signaling pathways, identify its ligand binding characteristics, and evaluate the effects of potential drug candidates. This research not only enhances our basic understanding of GRM7's role in brain function but also paves the way for developing innovative treatments for disorders linked to glutamatergic dysregulation. Overall, the study of GRM7 and its recombinant proteins holds significant promise in advancing neuroscience and improving therapeutic strategies for mental health disorders.
