Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
GTF2H4, a member of the general transcription factor IIH (TFIIH) complex, plays a critical role in nucleotide excision repair (NER) and transcription initiation. It is essential for the unwinding of DNA during the transcription process and the recruitment of repair factors to damaged DNA sites. Mutations or dysfunctions in GTF2H4 can lead to disorders related to DNA repair, such as xeroderma pigmentosum and Cockayne syndrome, which are characterized by increased sensitivity to UV light and neurodegeneration. The study of GTF2H4 recombinant protein is crucial for understanding its biological functions and mechanisms in the context of DNA repair and transcription regulation. By producing and characterizing recombinant GTF2H4, researchers aim to elucidate its structural properties, binding interactions, and the influence of various post-translational modifications, which might impact its activity. Furthermore, investigating GTF2H4 can provide insights into the broader implications of transcriptional regulation and genome stability, contributing to the development of therapeutic strategies for related genetic disorders.
