Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
KRTAP4-4 (Keratin Associated Protein 4-4) is a member of the keratin-associated protein (KAP) family, which plays a crucial role in the structure and function of the hair, skin, and nails by influencing the properties of keratin fibers. Recent studies have highlighted the significance of KRTAP4-4 in the formation of the hair shaft, contributing to its mechanical strength and resilience. Mutations or alterations in KRTAP4-4 gene expression can lead to various hair disorders, making it an important target for research in dermatology and genetics. Additionally, KRTAP4-4 serves as a valuable model for studying the molecular mechanisms of keratinization and the interplay between different keratin-associated proteins in epithelial tissues. Understanding the structure and function of recombinant KRTAP4-4 protein could facilitate advancements in regenerative medicine, cosmetic science, and the development of therapeutic strategies for hair and skin disorders. Researchers aim to elucidate its properties, interactions, and potential applications, paving the way for novel treatments and improving the understanding of keratin biology at both the basic and clinical levels.
