Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PepT, or peptide transporters, play a crucial role in the absorption of di- and tripeptides in the intestines and are significant for drug delivery and nutrition. The PepT1 and PepT2 transporters are primarily studied for their ability to facilitate the uptake of small peptides, which can enhance the bioavailability of certain therapeutic agents. Advances in recombinant protein technology have enabled the production of PepT proteins for detailed structural and functional studies. Understanding the mechanisms underlying peptide transport at the molecular level is essential for developing novel drug delivery systems, particularly for poorly soluble drugs that mimic peptide structures. Furthermore, interest in PepT transporters has grown due to their potential implications in various physiological and pathological conditions, including nutrient malabsorption disorders and the treatment of diseases. Research into the recombinant expression and purification of PepT proteins facilitates the investigation of their transport characteristics, substrate specificity, and interaction with pharmaceutical compounds. These studies aim not only to elucidate the fundamental biology of these transporters but also to pave the way for innovative therapeutic strategies that leverage PepT transport mechanisms, thus highlighting the importance of PepT research in both basic science and clinical applications.
