  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

DHT (dihydrotestosterone) is a potent androgen that plays a critical role in various biological processes, including development and maintenance of male characteristics, hair growth, and prostate function. Research on DHT notably intersects with studies of its receptor, the androgen receptor (AR), which mediates many of its effects. DHT binds to the AR with higher affinity than testosterone, making it a key focus of investigations related to androgen-related disorders, including androgenetic alopecia, benign prostatic hyperplasia, and prostate cancer. Advances in recombinant DNA technology have enabled the production of DHT and its derivatives in vitro, allowing researchers to explore their biochemical properties, interactions with AR, and downstream signaling pathways in greater detail. This work is crucial for understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying hormone action and for developing targeted therapies aimed at managing conditions fueled by excessive DHT action. Additionally, the exploration of DHT's role in non-reproductive tissues has garnered interest in its implications for metabolic syndromes, cardiovascular health, and skin conditions. Overall, the study of DHT recombinant proteins not only furthers our comprehension of androgen biology but also holds promise for innovative therapeutic advancements in endocrine and metabolic diseases.
