Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
CCK8 (Cholecystokinin-8) is a significant gastrointestinal hormone involved in various physiological processes, including digestion and appetite regulation. It is produced in the small intestine and acts on the gallbladder, stimulating bile secretion and promoting the release of digestive enzymes from the pancreas. In recent years, research has increasingly focused on the role of CCK8 in the central nervous system, where it influences satiety, anxiety, and pain modulation. The study of recombinant CCK8 protein has become prominent due to its potential therapeutic applications. By utilizing recombinant DNA technology, scientists can produce CCK8 in a controlled environment, allowing for detailed structural and functional analysis. This research can lead to a better understanding of CCK8’s involvement in neuroendocrine signaling and its implications in metabolic disorders such as obesity and diabetes. Furthermore, recombinant CCK8 may serve as a valuable tool in drug development, providing insights into the design of CCK receptor agonists or antagonists that can be applied in clinical settings. Overall, the investigation of recombinant CCK8 proteins opens pathways for innovative treatments targeting both gastrointestinal and neurobehavioral conditions, contributing to a broader comprehension of hormone signaling in health and disease.
