Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PPCDC, or phosphopantothenoylcysteinyl decarboxylase, is a pivotal enzyme in the biosynthesis pathway of coenzyme A (CoA), which is essential for various metabolic processes, including fatty acid metabolism and energy production. Understanding the functional mechanisms of PPCDC has garnered significant interest in biochemical and pharmacological research due to its role in several pathological conditions associated with aberrant CoA levels, such as metabolic disorders and cancer. Recent studies have highlighted the enzymatic properties of PPCDC and its potential as a therapeutic target, prompting researchers to explore the reconstitution of this protein in vitro. By generating recombinant PPCDC, scientists aim to dissect its structural and functional characteristics, investigate its enzymatic activity, and evaluate its biochemical pathways. The recombinant protein serves as a valuable tool in the development of assays to screen for novel inhibitors that could modulate its activity, thereby contributing to potential therapeutic strategies. This research not only elucidates the fundamental biology of PPCDC but also paves the way for innovative approaches in drug discovery aimed at regulating CoA-related metabolic pathways.
