The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

NSUN4 is a member of the nucleolar protein family, primarily known for its role as a methyltransferase involved in the biogenesis of mitochondrial ribosomes. Research on NSUN4 has gained increasing importance due to its implications in cellular metabolism, mitochondrial function, and the overall regulation of gene expression. Abnormalities in NSUN4 expression have been linked to various diseases, including certain types of cancers and mitochondrial disorders, highlighting its potential as a biomarker or therapeutic target. The protein plays a crucial role in the modification of mitochondrial RNA, which is essential for the proper assembly and function of mitochondria. Understanding the structure and function of NSUN4 is critical for elucidating its mechanisms in cellular energy production and protein synthesis. Advances in biotechnology, such as recombinant protein expression systems, have enabled researchers to produce NSUN4 in sufficient quantities for detailed biochemical studies. These studies aim to uncover the interactions of NSUN4 with other cellular components, its distribution within the cell, and how its activity is regulated in response to different physiological conditions. The ongoing research into NSUN4 not only enhances our comprehension of mitochondrial biology but also opens avenues for potential therapeutic interventions targeting mitochondrial dysfunction, thereby contributing to the broader field of metabolic diseases and aging-related conditions. Overall, NSUN4 is emerging as a vital player in pioneering research aimed at the intersection of genetics, cellular metabolism, and disease pathology.
