Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
OPRS1, or the Ophthalmic Micronuclear Protein 1, is a gene that encodes an enzyme known as 2-oxopentanoate reductase, which plays a crucial role in the metabolism of branched-chain amino acids. Research has shown that OPRS1 is implicated in various physiological processes, including the regulation of energy metabolism and oxidative stress responses. Recent studies have highlighted the involvement of OPRS1 in several diseases, particularly metabolic disorders and neurodegenerative diseases, making it a significant target for therapeutic interventions. The recombinant production of OPRS1 presents an opportunity to explore its functional properties and potential applications in biomedical research. By generating a high-purity OPRS1 protein through recombinant techniques, researchers aim to elucidate its enzymatic mechanisms, structural characteristics, and interactions with other cellular components. This can lead to a better understanding of the pathways it influences and the development of novel strategies for treating conditions associated with OPRS1 dysregulation. Furthermore, recombinant OPRS1 can serve as a valuable tool for drug discovery and the design of inhibitors, which might pave the way for innovative therapeutic approaches in managing metabolic and neurodegenerative diseases. The continued investigation into OPRS1's role in human health underscores the importance of molecular biology techniques in addressing complex biochemical pathways and disease mechanisms.
