Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PCDH8, or Protocadherin 8, belongs to the cadherin superfamily of cell adhesion molecules and plays a crucial role in neuronal development and function. Its unique structure and expression patterns suggest that PCDH8 may be involved in synaptic signaling and the maintenance of neural circuits. Recent studies have indicated that dysregulation of PCDH8 is associated with various neurological disorders, including schizophrenia and autism spectrum disorders. As such, research on PCDH8 recombinant proteins has gained prominence, focusing on understanding its functional properties, binding interactions, and potential role in neurodevelopmental processes. The generation of recombinant PCDH8 proteins facilitates the exploration of its molecular mechanisms and offers a platform for the development of therapeutic strategies aimed at modulating its activity in pathological conditions. Furthermore, elucidating the signaling pathways involving PCDH8 could enhance our understanding of synapse formation and plasticity, providing insights into the broader implications of cell adhesion molecules in brain function and behavior. Overall, the study of PCDH8 recombinant proteins is essential for uncovering the functional roles of this cadherin in neural contexts and may contribute to the identification of biomarkers or targets for intervention in related disorders.
