Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
B3GALT3, or beta-1,3-galactosyltransferase 3, is an enzyme that plays a critical role in glycosylation, specifically in the synthesis of glycoproteins and glycolipids by catalyzing the addition of galactose to specific glycan structures. It is particularly important in the formation of poly-N-acetyllactosamine chains, which are crucial for cell signaling, adhesion, and recognition processes. Abnormal expression or mutations in the B3GALT3 gene are associated with various diseases, including developmental disorders and certain types of cancer. Research on B3GALT3 recombinant protein aims to explore its functional properties, interactions with other biomolecules, and its role in disease mechanisms. By producing B3GALT3 in a recombinant system, scientists can study its enzymatic activity in isolation, characterize its substrate specificity, and investigate how alterations in its function can lead to pathological conditions. Furthermore, understanding the precise functions of B3GALT3 can inform therapeutic strategies, including enzyme replacement therapies and targeted drug development, making it a significant focus of biochemical and medical research. Through detailed analysis of this recombinant protein, researchers hope to uncover novel insights into glycosylation processes and their implications in human health.
