Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Rtn4r, or Reticulon 4 receptor, is a member of the reticulon family of proteins known for their critical roles in maintaining endoplasmic reticulum (ER) morphology and cellular stress response. It is predominantly expressed in the nervous system and has garnered significant interest due to its involvement in neurodevelopment and neurodegenerative diseases. Research has shown that Rtn4r can modulate the stability of neuronal membranes and influence synaptic function, which is vital for neuronal communication. Moreover, its association with various pathological conditions, including Alzheimer’s and multiple sclerosis, highlights the need for a deeper understanding of its structure and function. The study of Rtn4r recombinant proteins offers valuable insights into its biological roles, providing a platform for potential therapeutic interventions. By investigating the interactions of Rtn4r with other cellular proteins and its impact on ER dynamics, researchers aim to uncover novel strategies for mitigating neurodegenerative processes and promoting neuronal survival in detrimental environments. Thus, Rtn4r serves as a focal point for exploring the complex interplay between cellular homeostasis and neuroprotection, paving the way for advancements in neurobiology and drug development.
