  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

NCAM1, or Neural Cell Adhesion Molecule 1, is a multifunctional glycoprotein prominently expressed in the nervous system. It plays a crucial role in neuronal development, synaptic plasticity, and cell signaling. The proper functioning of NCAM1 is essential for neural differentiation, axon growth, and the overall integrity of neural networks. Dysregulation or mutations in NCAM1 are associated with various neurological disorders, including schizophrenia, autism spectrum disorders, and neurodegenerative diseases. Research into NCAM1 recombinant proteins has gained momentum due to their potential therapeutic applications. These proteins can be used to better understand NCAM1's role in cellular communication and its impact on neural processes. Moreover, NCAM1 recombinant proteins are being explored for their use in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine, aiming to enhance neural repair mechanisms following injury. By studying NCAM1 at the molecular level, researchers hope to uncover novel strategies for treating neural pathologies and improving outcomes in neurodevelopmental conditions. Additionally, recombinant technologies facilitate the large-scale production of NCAM1 proteins, enabling in-depth functional analyses and the development of NCAM1-targeted therapeutic interventions. Overall, the study of NCAM1 recombinant proteins represents a promising frontier in neuroscience and therapeutic development.
