Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
POSTN (Periostin) is a matricellular protein that plays a significant role in various biological processes, including tissue repair, remodeling, and oncogenesis. It is known for its involvement in extracellular matrix (ECM) organization and cell-matrix interactions, which are critical for maintaining tissue integrity. The expression of POSTN is regulated by various factors, including mechanical stress and growth factors, and it is often upregulated in response to injury or inflammation. Research has indicated that POSTN is implicated in several pathological conditions, such as fibrosis, cardiovascular diseases, and cancer progression. Its overexpression has been linked to tumor development and metastasis, making it a potential biomarker for cancer prognosis and a target for therapeutic intervention. Recent studies have focused on elucidating the molecular mechanisms by which POSTN influences cell behavior and its interactions with other ECM components. The development of POSTN-based recombinant proteins has opened new avenues for therapeutic applications, including tissue engineering and regenerative medicine, where it can aid in enhancing cell adhesion, proliferation, and differentiation. Overall, understanding the multifaceted roles of POSTN in health and disease is crucial for developing novel strategies to manipulate its function for therapeutic benefit.
