Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
C9orf12 is a gene located on chromosome 9 that has garnered significant attention in the field of neurogenetics, particularly due to its association with neurodegenerative disorders, such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and frontotemporal dementia (FTD). Research has indicated that mutations in C9orf12 can lead to the generation of toxic dipeptide repeat proteins, which may contribute to the pathogenesis of these diseases. The study of C9orf12 recombinant proteins is crucial for elucidating the molecular mechanisms underlying the toxicity associated with these mutations. By expressing and characterizing C9orf12 proteins in vitro, researchers aim to identify their structural properties, interaction partners, and pathways involved in disease progression. Additionally, understanding the functional roles of these proteins could pave the way for new therapeutic strategies targeting C9orf12-related pathologies. Overall, the investigation into C9orf12 recombinant proteins is a promising endeavor that holds the potential to advance our knowledge of neurodegenerative mechanisms and improve therapeutic outcomes for affected individuals.
