Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
CACNA2D2, a gene encoding the alpha-2/delta-2 subunit of voltage-gated calcium channels, plays a critical role in the modulation of calcium influx in excitable cells and is vital for various physiological processes, including neurotransmitter release and muscle contraction. Abnormalities in CACNA2D2 have been implicated in various neurological disorders and cardiac conditions, highlighting its significance in cellular signaling and potential as a therapeutic target. Research on the recombinant protein of CACNA2D2 aims to elucidate its structural and functional properties, which are essential for understanding its role within calcium channel complexes. By producing and characterizing recombinant CACNA2D2, scientists can investigate its interaction with other channel subunits and regulatory proteins, providing insights into the mechanisms underlying calcium channelopathies. Furthermore, this research supports the development of novel pharmacological agents that could modulate calcium channel activity, offering potential new treatments for diseases linked to calcium signaling dysregulation. Overall, the study of CACNA2D2 recombinant protein is crucial not only for basic biology but also for the advancement of therapeutic strategies addressing calcium-related disorders.
