  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

MCTS1 (Mammalian Cell Transformation Susceptibility protein 1) is a protein implicated in various cellular processes, including cell proliferation, differentiation, and survival. Its name derives from its role in susceptibility to cell transformation, a characteristic observed in cancerous cells. Research into MCTS1 has gained momentum due to its potential involvement in tumorigenesis and its association with various cancers. Early studies identified MCTS1 as being overexpressed in certain cancer types, suggesting a role in oncogenic pathways. Additionally, MCTS1 has been linked to the regulation of gene expression, impacting cellular responses to growth signals. Understanding the structure and function of MCTS1 at a molecular level could reveal critical insights into its role in cancer biology and potential therapeutic targets. Consequently, efforts to characterize its recombinant protein have become important in elucidating its biological functions and interactions with other cellular components. Using recombinant MCTS1 can facilitate the investigation of its biochemical properties and functional relevance, enabling researchers to assess its role in cellular mechanisms and cancer progression. This research not only enhances our understanding of MCTS1 itself but also contributes to the broader field of cancer research, where elucidating the molecular underpinnings of oncogenes and tumor suppressors is crucial for developing innovative treatment strategies.
