Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
EIF2S2, also known as eukaryotic translation initiation factor 2 subunit 2, plays a pivotal role in the initiation of protein synthesis by facilitating the formation of the translation initiation complex. This protein is crucial for cellular response to stress, particularly in regulating the translation of mRNAs during unfavorable conditions, such as nutrient deprivation or oxidative stress. The dysregulation of EIF2S2 has been linked to various diseases, including cancer and neurodegenerative disorders, where alterations in protein synthesis can lead to uncontrolled cell growth or impaired neuronal function. Research on recombinant EIF2S2 proteins aims to elucidate the structural and functional mechanisms underlying its role in translation initiation and stress response. Furthermore, generating recombinant EIF2S2 allows for the investigation of its interactions with other translation factors and peptides, providing insights into the intricate network of protein synthesis regulation. Understanding the biochemistry of EIF2S2 through recombinant protein studies could pave the way for novel therapeutic strategies targeting translation pathways in disease contexts.
