Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
CASP12 (Caspase-12) is an important member of the caspase family, which plays a crucial role in apoptosis and inflammation. It is primarily localized in the endoplasmic reticulum and is involved in the cellular response to stress, particularly in the context of innate immunity and the inflammatory response. Research has shown that CASP12 is implicated in the processing of pro-inflammatory cytokines and can influence the development of various diseases, including sepsis and neurodegenerative disorders. Interestingly, genetic variations in the CASP12 gene have been associated with different susceptibilities to infectious diseases, suggesting its role in the human immune response. Additionally, its expression levels can vary among populations, indicating a potential evolutionary adaptation. The investigation of recombinant CASP12 protein has gained traction as it allows for a better understanding of its functional roles, mechanisms of action, and interactions with other cellular components. By employing modern molecular biology techniques, researchers aim to elucidate the biochemistry of CASP12, which may lead to novel therapeutic strategies targeting inflammatory processes and apoptosis-related diseases. This research is vital for leveraging CASP12 as a biomarker for certain conditions or as a target for drug development, thereby contributing to advancements in medical science and treatment modalities.
