Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Alox15, also known as lipoxygenase-15, is an enzyme that belongs to the lipoxygenase family and plays a crucial role in the metabolism of polyunsaturated fatty acids, leading to the formation of bioactive lipids. It is implicated in various physiological and pathological processes, including inflammation, cell proliferation, and apoptosis. Research has demonstrated that Alox15 is involved in the biosynthesis of leukotrienes and other lipid mediators that significantly impact immune responses and development. Additionally, studies have suggested its potential role in cancer progression and cardiovascular diseases, making it a target of interest for therapeutic interventions. The recombination and expression of Alox15 in a laboratory setting facilitate the study of its biochemical properties and functions, allowing researchers to explore its mechanisms of action in greater detail. By producing Alox15 as a recombinant protein, scientists gain insights into its enzymatic activity, substrate specificity, and interactions with other biomolecules. This could lead to the identification of novel inhibitors or modulators that could be utilized in drug development, paving the way for new treatments for diseases associated with dysregulated lipid metabolism. Overall, the research on Alox15 recombinant protein is vital for understanding the enzyme's role in health and disease, thereby contributing to advancements in biomedical research and therapeutic strategies.
