Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
MUC21 is a member of the mucin family, which are high molecular weight glycoproteins known for their roles in protecting epithelial surfaces and mediating cell signaling. The study of MUC21 has gained significant interest due to its potential implications in various diseases, particularly cancers. Unlike other mucins, MUC21 has been linked to immune responses and has shown differential expression in certain tumor types. Research indicates that MUC21 may play a role in tumor progression, metastasis, and the modulation of the tumor microenvironment by influencing cellular interactions and immune evasion. Furthermore, investigations into MUC21's structure and functional properties could reveal valuable insights into its biological mechanisms, paving the way for potential therapeutic targets. The recombinant production of MUC21 protein enables detailed studies of its functions and interactions, facilitating the exploration of its role in both health and disease. As a result, understanding MUC21 could not only enhance our comprehension of mucin biology but also aid in the development of novel diagnostic and therapeutic strategies in oncology and immunology.
