Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
FSD2 (Ferritin-like Storage Protein 2) is an important recombinant protein that has gained attention in the fields of biochemistry and molecular biology due to its potential applications in nanotechnology and biomedicine. The protein is part of the ferritin family, which plays a critical role in iron storage and homeostasis within cellular systems. Understanding the structure and function of FSD2 is vital because it can provide insights into iron metabolism disorders, such as anemia and hemochromatosis. Furthermore, the ability to engineer FSD2 recombinantly allows for the exploration of its use as a biomarker or therapeutic agent. Researchers are interested in elucidating the protein's behavior, stability, and interactions with other biomolecules, as these factors are crucial for its applications in drug delivery systems and as a scaffold for nanomaterials. Recent studies have focused on optimizing the expression and purification processes of FSD2 to enhance its yield and functionality, enabling a deeper investigation into its properties and potential uses. As developments continue, FSD2 represents a promising avenue for innovations in biotechnology, targeting applications ranging from disease treatment to the development of advanced drug formulations.
