简介
The CXCR4 protein functions as a receptor for the CXC chemokine CXCL12/SDF-1, triggering an increase in intracellular calcium ions and activation of MAPK1/MAPK3. It is actively involved in AKT signaling, which is critical for regulating cell migration, especially in wound healing. CXCR4 Protein, Human (Cell-Free, His) is the recombinant human-derived CXCR4 protein, expressed by E. coli Cell-free , with N-6*His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
CXCR4 is a chemokine receptor known for its critical role in various physiological and pathological processes, including immune responses, hematopoiesis, and cancer metastasis. It binds to its ligand, CXCL12, which is involved in regulating cell migration and homing, particularly in the context of stem cell and immune cell trafficking. The receptor is not only a key player in normal biological functions but is also associated with several diseases, most notably cancer, where its overexpression can facilitate tumor progression and metastasis. Additionally, CXCR4 serves as a co-receptor for the entry of HIV into host cells, making it a significant target for antiviral therapies. Research on CXCR4 recombinant proteins has gained momentum due to their potential applications in therapeutic development and biomolecular studies. These recombinant proteins can be used to elucidate the receptor's signaling pathways, investigate its interactions with ligands, and develop inhibitors to block unwanted signaling in pathological conditions. Moreover, the ability to produce CXCR4 as a recombinant protein allows for advanced studies into its structure and function, which can lead to novel strategies for drug design and targeted therapies against diseases where CXCR4 is implicated. Overall, the study of CXCR4 recombinant proteins is critical for advancing our understanding of receptor biology and developing innovative therapeutic approaches to address cancer, immune disorders, and viral infections.
