Analytical Data

  • Gene name

    CD97

  • 简介

CD97, a receptor crucial for leukocyte migration, participates in adhesion and signaling during early leukocyte activation. Forming a heterodimer with a large extracellular alpha subunit and a seven-transmembrane beta subunit, CD97 interacts with complement decay-accelerating factor (DAF). The largest isoform (isoform 1) specifically engages with chondroitin sulfate, showcasing its diverse roles in cellular processes. CD97 Protein, Human (HEK293, His) is the recombinant human-derived CD97 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-His labeled tag.

  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

CD97 is a member of the adhesion G protein-coupled receptor family, which plays a crucial role in various physiological and pathological processes, including immune responses, cell migration, and tumor progression. Research has shown that CD97 is expressed in a variety of tissues and is involved in several diseases, particularly in cancer, where its expression often correlates with aggressive tumor phenotypes and poor prognosis. This has sparked interest in CD97 as a potential therapeutic target. Recombinant CD97 proteins have been developed for in-depth studies to elucidate its functions and interactions at the molecular level. These studies aim to determine how CD97 contributes to tumor microenvironments and immune evasion, as well as its potential role in other diseases such as autoimmune disorders. By understanding the mechanisms of CD97, researchers hope to identify novel intervention strategies that could mitigate its pathological effects, thus providing insights for new therapeutic approaches targeting CD97-related pathways in cancer and beyond. The generation of recombinant CD97 proteins has also enabled the exploration of antibody development, which may provide diagnostic and therapeutic tools in clinical settings. Overall, the study of CD97 recombinant proteins represents a significant advancement in the understanding of this receptor's biology and its implications in health and disease.
