简介
GPR133 Protein, an orphan receptor, signals through the G(s)-alpha family of G-proteins, as indicated by studies. Its protumorigenic function, particularly in glioblastoma, suggests a potential role in tumorigenesis-associated pathological processes. GPR133 Protein, Human (HEK293, His) is the recombinant human-derived GPR133 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
GPR133, a member of the G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) family, has garnered attention due to its potential roles in various physiological and pathological processes. Initially identified as an orphan receptor, GPR133 has been implicated in cellular signaling pathways that influence cell growth, differentiation, and migration. Recent studies suggest that GPR133 may be involved in developmental processes, particularly in the context of the cardiovascular system and neural development. Its unique structure, which includes a long N-terminal region and several characteristic transmembrane domains, highlights its potential as a target for therapeutic interventions. Researchers have also begun to explore its interactions with different ligands, which may further elucidate its functional role in the body. Given the significance of GPCRs in drug development, the recombinant expression and purification of GPR133 protein is essential for investigating its structural and functional properties. Understanding the biochemical and biophysical characteristics of GPR133 could lead to insights into its mechanism of action and pave the way for innovative treatments for diseases linked to GPCR dysregulation. The ongoing exploration of GPR133 as a biomarker or therapeutic target underscores the importance of this receptor in both basic research and clinical applications.
