Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
ADAM20, belonging to the ADAM (A Disintegrin And Metalloproteinase) family, is a type of membrane protein that plays significant roles in various biological processes, including cell adhesion, signaling, and membrane protein shedding. The study of ADAM20 has gained traction due to its potential involvement in pathophysiological conditions, such as cancer, neurodegenerative diseases, and cardiovascular disorders. Recent research has suggested that ADAM20 may regulate important cellular functions by influencing the interactions between cells and their microenvironment, particularly through the modulation of extracellular matrix components and the activation of signaling pathways. Furthermore, the cleavage of specific substrates by ADAM20 can result in the release of bioactive molecules that affect cellular communication and immune responses. Investigating the recombinant expression and functional characterization of ADAM20 can provide insights into its role in disease mechanisms and may reveal new avenues for therapeutic intervention. Advances in protein engineering and purification techniques have made it possible to produce ADAM20 in a recombinant form, facilitating detailed studies on its structure-function relationships. Understanding the biochemical properties and biological functions of ADAM20 is essential not only for elucidating its role in normal physiological processes but also for targeting it in clinical applications aimed at treating diseases where ADAM20's activity is dysregulated.
