Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
HOOK2 is a member of the Hook protein family, which plays a crucial role in intracellular trafficking and the organization of cellular structures. It is involved in binding to vesicles and facilitating their transport along microtubules, thus contributing to the proper distribution of organelles and proteins within the cell. Research has shown that HOOK2 is particularly significant in neuronal cells, where it aids in the transport of essential components needed for synaptic function and integrity. Dysregulation of HOOK2 has been implicated in various neurological disorders, including neurodegenerative diseases, suggesting its potential as a therapeutic target. The interest in HOOK2 recombinant proteins stems from the need to better understand its structure-function relationship, cellular mechanisms, and interactions with other proteins. Expression of HOOK2 as a recombinant protein allows for detailed studies using biochemical assays, structural analysis, and functional assays in cellular models. This research may provide insights into the role of HOOK2 in health and disease, paving the way for novel therapeutic strategies targeting intracellular transport mechanisms in neurodegenerative conditions.
