Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
SFTPA1, or Surfactant Protein A1, is a crucial protein involved in the lung’s surfactant system, playing a significant role in surfactant homeostasis, host defense, and the modulation of immune responses in the respiratory system. A deficiency or dysfunction of SFTPA1 is associated with various pulmonary disorders, including interstitial lung disease, pulmonary surfactant dysfunction, and some forms of pneumonia. The study of recombinant SFTPA1 protein is essential for understanding its molecular mechanisms, interactions with pathogens, and potential therapeutic applications. Research has increasingly focused on the structural and functional characteristics of SFTPA1 to elucidate its role in lung biology and pathology. Moreover, recombinant SFTPA1 can serve as a valuable tool in drug development and predictive models for lung diseases, with the objective of creating targeted therapies to ameliorate respiratory conditions. This protein's unique properties allow it to interact with a wide range of molecules, making it a focal point in studies aiming to bridge the gap between basic research and clinical applications in pulmonary health. By generating recombinant forms of SFTPA1, researchers aim to explore its potential in enhancing surfactant function, improving lung immunity, and developing novel treatments for respiratory ailments.
