Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
STRA6 (Stimulated by Retinoic Acid 6) is a membrane-associated receptor primarily known for its role in retinol uptake and transport in cells. Research into STRA6 has gained significant attention due to its implications in various physiological processes and diseases. STRA6 functions as a receptor for retinol-binding protein (RBP), facilitating the delivery of retinol, a vitamin A derivative crucial for vision, cellular differentiation, and immune function. Abnormal STRA6 expression has been linked to several developmental disorders, particularly those affecting retinal development and function, such as retinitis pigmentosa. In addition, STRA6 is implicated in conditions like diabetes and certain cancers, where dysregulated retinol metabolism may contribute to disease progression. The recombinant expression and characterization of STRA6 protein enable researchers to explore its structure-function relationship, binding affinities, and potential as a therapeutic target. Understanding STRA6's mechanisms can illuminate new strategies for addressing vitamin A deficiency and its related health issues, making it a focus of ongoing biomedical research.
